Model Construction

 Before beginning the modelling process, some sketches of a Jaguar F type were drawn as part of concept art.

The drawings in Figures 44 and 45 were based off images Fig 42 & 43, found on Pinterest which had been used in the mood board created earlier in the project. https://www.pinterest.co.uk/stewartmarr/live-brief/

Construction of the car has begun, using a blueprint of a Jaguar F type to build from for reference.   Model will be constructed using the aide of the following YouTube tutorials which aide in the process of the model building step by step.  Part 1, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfGBovexMjM&feature=share, (Anderson, 2017).

Initially using the images used in figures 46 & 47 to model the car around from the YouTube video.  However, these images used in figure 46 & 47 were not as helpful as reference images as initially thought.  The YouTube video tutorials provide reference images as used in the tutorial video , which are a better quality to those used in figure 46 & 47.

 Using the new images as reference, this greatly improved the building process of the car more accurately inline with the YouTube tutorial as can be seen with figures 48, 49, 50, 51 and 52.

As part of the Live brief stipulations is to keep the client informed on the progress.  A email was sent to Mark Cushley on the current progress with screen shots.

6/11/2018 Model  Continued Now the exterior of the car has been completed, the last element to be added were the wheels of the car.  The tutorials suggested by the client Mark Cushley did not cover how to develop wheels for the car.  Further research using YouTube was conducted in order to find a good tutorial in how to create car wheels was carried out.  Four tutorials were found initially on creating alloy wheels for cars. Having watched the four videos which might have helped in the wheel development, it was decided to follow  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9lw8VrCcog , (Anderson, 2017), 8fifty2torials once again, as the tutorials on the Jaguar F-type they had created were very simple and helpful.  This tutorial turned out to be as effective and helpful as their previous tutorials for creating and developing the Jaguar F-type exterior. 19/11/2018 Texturing In response to the previous emails sent to Mark Cushley, the client, Mark replied by advising not to texture the model but to set up shaders an lights instead.  Furthermore, Mark advised using Arnold or Keyshot software for this, as can be seen in figure 160. 21/11/2018 Texture and Rendering After emailing the client with the colour variations of the Jaguar model, the client replied complimenting the work done so far, however, requesting the that the car colour scheme be a blue or red and the surface be more shiny and reflective.  Further feedback also suggested smoothing the model further.
