Client & Brief
Today's session involved finalising a client live brief and selecting a client. After contacting ten potential clients, the choice was narrowed down to four. Three were though Artstation whilst the fourth was contacted through email. The decision was made to go through a contact made previously and contacted via email, Mark Cushley. After speaking to Mark about the live brief, suggestions were made to construct a vehicle, in particular a Jaguar F type rather than building an environment and assets. Mark pointed out that a vehicle would stand out more as a portfolio piece compared to assets for an environment. Although Mark's expertise is character modelling and animation compared to the other three potential clients whom are Environment and asset artists, Mark's help and advice in aiding in this brief, helped to make the decision to take up Mark' live brief.
Details of the requirements of the live brief were email to Mark and apologies were made to the other contacted potential clients.

The module tutor advised in aide of creating a Jaguar F-type to look at the below website to aide development and creation, using the images to use as a silhouette in Maya in creating the car. https://www.the-blueprints.com/.
Furthermore, Mark suggested that the interior could be created along with a brief animation for the vehicle, time permitting, which could be a good element to add to the brief.
Now that the client for the live brief has been confirmed, and what will be created for the live brief. the client will contact me with details of the brief being created.
Mark also provided three YouTube video links to aide in the creation of the car, in particular one tutorial that is the Jaguar E-type model making process as done in Maya.

More advice and help was offered via email on Art station by one of the other industry professionals initially contacted on there should it be required. An environment artist called Andrew Kelly who kindly offered to do a brief as well, also offered help and advice if required.
